Freelancing platforms in India
A freelancing platform connects companies with independent specialists and gives freelancers a public place to be hired. GigIt is a freelancing platform built for India: you search professional freelancers by skill and city, including remote work, and you talk to the person on the profile.
What to check before you hire
Confirm the skill exists as a real category, not a vague tag. Confirm you can filter by an Indian city and by remote or onsite work. Read a profile before you message. Ask for a price range and a timeline on the profile or in the first conversation. Agree the scope yourselves. GigIt is not an employer of record, so the contract is between the client and the freelancer.
How GigIt matches work
The client describes the outcome in plain language. GigIt uses that brief with the city and work mode to surface published profiles. Freelancers do not pay to appear in search. A complete profile, with skills, city, and services, is what makes a listing understandable to a client and to search engines.
Questions companies ask before they hire
What will it cost? The profile shows a range, and you agree the price. Is the person an employee? No. GigIt is not an employer of record. Which time zone? India uses India Standard Time, UTC+5:30, in every state. Do I have to pay to send a proposal? Freelancers publish a profile and clients contact them. Some other marketplaces are built around bids and paid connects. GigIt is built around the profile and a plain-language brief.
Who the platform is for
GigIt is for professional and trending knowledge work: software, AI and automation, design, marketing, content, finance, legal, consulting, creator work, games, climate, and fintech. It is not a platform for trade or home-repair jobs.
